COUNTY TIPPERARY BUSINESS AWARDS
BEST RETAIL, HOSPITALITY OR TOURISIM BUSINESS OF THE YEAR AWARD 2017
The County Tipperary Business Awards will award The Best Retail, Hospitality, Tourism Business of the Year award to an organisation, trading for more than 1 year in Tipperary, that is striving to create world class products and services, setting the highest benchmarks and optimising opportunities in their market place. Additionally, the winning organisation will have demonstrated the effective and creative use of marketing to jointly promote their business and Tipperary to drive visitors to the County.
To be eligible for the Best Retail, Hospitality, Tourism Business Award, nominees must have been in operation for a minimum of 12 months, based in Tipperary. A retail business is a type of business in which merchandise is sold primarily to ultimate consumers. Businesses who sell online or who have physical stores are eligible. Businesses eligible for this category may also include but are not limited to Hotels, Tourism Operators, Destinations, Tourist attractions, venue operators, event organisations etc.
Please note that Sports, Arts & Culture are a separate award category. Please do not apply for both.
Judges will be looking at:
- Innovation: The winning business demonstrates how has the company embraced innovation (could be in terms of product, service, strategy, channels to customers for example) to strengthen its competitiveness and grow its market share, attract visitors and help tourism in the county
- Viability: This winning business demonstrates a significant growth opportunity in their sector (or location) along with a clear mission, vision and strategy.
- Growth & Developments: Evidence of impressive performance and achievement in the last 12 months coupled with planning for growth (including supporting their staff in terms of training & development) and acting upon opportunity in the market
- Contribution to the County: The winning business will have had a positive impact to the region in areas such as job creation, supporting the culture of collaboration and support with other businesses and organisations in the region, helping to attract new investment and is achieving excellence in hospitality & tourism
