Health and Fitness Ireland (HFI) formed in 2015 in Tipperary. The company has two divisions:
  1. Corporate Health and Wellness
  2. Student Education and Empowerment.
The Corporate Health and Wellness division is dedicated to delivering innovative and productive workplace programs nationally. The aim of HFI’s corporate programs is to assist companies with employee satisfaction, health and motivational levels. Currently, Irish companies are investing more and more in their most valuable asset – their staff,  because, as every forward thinking employer knows, healthy, motivated employees are the driving force behind every successful business.
HFI’s menu of options are as follows:
  • Corporate education talks and lectures
  • Exercise and fitness training options, plus a one-to-one personal health and wellbeing session (The group health and fitness classes can be delivered on site or off site.)
  • Employees health balance program
  • 10 week company weight loss initiative
  • Health and wellbeing leader training and education program
  • Corporate health and wellness screening
To date, HFI’s programs have had encouraging results in improved health awareness of staff, more productive and content employees, the lower healthcare costs, and thriving company performances. HFI’s programs are based on science, research and proven results. The uptake of staff engagement in partaking in HFI’s programs has been extremely high. HFI encourage an approach to include both management and employees.

Student HFI Educational Options
Health and Fitness Ireland’s aim is to assist teachers and lecturers by offering a selection of service to benefit students (ranging from teenagers to young adults). Firstly, HFI offer individual short lectures and practical sessions for students on the following topics:
  • Health Psychology
  • Health Nutrition
  • Practical Nutrition
  • Sport Psychology
  • HIT & Circuit training
  • Quality Movement
  • Flexibility and Stretching
HFI offer full day educational workshops and courses. The workshops/course are as follows:
1) Full day workshops (6 Hours),
2) Half day workshops (3 hours),
3) HFI Coaching Diploma option (18 Hours) or option
4) HFI Wellness certificate (ranges from 3 – 18 hours). The wellness option is vital to young students in relation to their ability to function in society and deal with stress, anxiety, and their emotions in general.

Teacher Training Days have become very popular as a professional development option and is widely recognised as crucial to an organisation’s success. Finding time for training and development is frequently noted by school staff as a barrier preventing them from taking up developmental opportunities. Training days are a significant time resource for professional development. How schools use this time is a crucial matter, especially as previous research shows that training days are not always used productively. The most effective types of professional development activity are those that directly meet individual needs as well as school-based needs and so a more personalised approach to professional development is required. HFI aim to deliver specific training to meet the needs of post primary school teachers in the areas of mental and physical health, nutrition and exercise/fitness training.

We know that the arts are fundamental to our humanity – and to our economy! As a business, you are aware of the value of a recognised, well-run and vibrant Arts Centre to a town and region. For a company, it’san asset that attracts new talent to a region and encourages employee retention at the top level. We only have to look at the value of its cultural institutions to business in places like Kilkenny or Galway to see that the arts are a genuine credit to a town.
From coordinating Clonmel’s participation in national events like Culture Night and Cruinniu na nOg, to bringing high quality Irish and international art to its gallery, South Tipperary Arts Centre has a broad remit. The appointment in 2017 of Cliona Maher, a new and highly experienced Manager (now Artistic Director), has allowed the arts centre to expand the programme of events and exhibitions.
None of this can be done without financial assistance and part of the function of the Artistic Director is to find a range of income streams and supports to ensure the long-term sustainability of the Arts Centre. It will probably come as no surprise to you to hear that the period from 2010 was quite brutal for South Tipperary Arts Centre, as it was for Ireland's wider creative community.
In the past year alone, however, the new management structure has allowed the Arts Centre to access grants from the Department of Culture, Heritage and the Gaeltacht, LEADER and the Arts Council of Ireland, bringing significant national funding back to south Tipperary. It is very important for the cultural life of the region to have an implanted agency that has the professional capacity to attract such funding.
The vision under the new Artistic Director is for the Arts Centre is be a true centre for the arts in Clonmel and county Tipperary: a hub for high-level exhibitions, a focal point for supporting local artists, and a place for learning, investigating, and playing for both children and adults, from those that paint as a past-time to those that create for a living.
In the last few months, with LEADER funding, they have transformed the upstairs studio into a multi-purpose space for not only exhibitions and workshops, but also talks, screenings and performances. They have rebranded, with a new logo and a high end, performative website that enhances marketing capacity, thanks to a grant from the Department of Culture, Heritage and Gaeltacht.
At the launch for the website on June 16th, the Arts Centre also launched a new Friends scheme, inviting individuals, families and businesses to ‘Be Part of the Arts’.
Have a look at the new website www.southtippartscentre.ieto see the wide range of activities and events coming up over the next few months.

Knowledge Transfer with Tangible Results

Register Now for One Day Working Capital Management Course

Many companies have already gone through working capital and procurement programmes, spent considerable sums of money on consultants and software with mixed success. Solutions have often been complex, impractical, theoretical or poorly implemented. There are still many others who have not yet engaged on the working capital or procurement journey. While many companies have seen some modest improvement, only a handful have been very successful.
Informita was formed to act as an advisor to all of these companies to improve working capital and procurement, focusing on Analytics, Implementation and Advisory. Informita is there to support your working capital and procurement programmes from cradle to grave in a cost efficient and effective manner.

What can we do for your company?
•    Reduce overdue receivables
•    Reduce customer terms
•    Increase supplier terms
•    Increase the level of on time payment
•    Reduce inventories
•    Improve stock fulfilment
•    Reduce purchase cost
•    Create better negotiation outcomes
What makes us different?
•    We operate globally leveraging the experience of working in 38 countries over the last 25 years
•    We charge fixed fees based on the work to be done, not on the size of your company or the size of opportunity. We can even tell you what the fees will be for the total journey before any work begins
•    We own the TermsCheck.com database of customer and supplier payment terms. This unique database allows you to make a direct comparison of the terms you have agreed with your customers and suppliers
•    While our fees are a fraction of major consultancies, our results are consistently better

Kate O'Mahony opened Forget Me Not  as a gift and interiors shop in July 2010 in Parnell St., Clonmel, where her grandfather, Eugene had run a successful electrical business and where her father, Hugh, had been an Antiques Dealer. One of the most encouraging affirmations came  two years later when the shop was short listed in The Irish Times competition , Best Shops in Ireland.
Kate believes in having a variety of quirky and unusual items, at affordable prices, not only from Ireland, but from all over the world.
As the shop expanded she increased her range of products. One of these is the furniture and decorative paint developed by Annie Sloan, Chalk Paint T.M. Regular Paint and Upcycling classes are now a service offered by the shop.
In 2015, Kate aquired a wine license and sources her wines from The Wine Buff. Now, not only does she retail some of the finest wines in the world but conducts regular tastings for groups on request. Every Thursday and Friday a bottle is open in the shop for tasting as well!
Kate is WSET {Wine & Spirit Education Trust} qualified.
Kate is  available for private wine tasting as part of a Christmas party or event.
