Clonmel Tuition Academy (CTA) was established in 2017 by its Founder and Director, Maryanne Whelan, a native of Clonmel and who is also one of the outstanding language teachers at the Academy. The aim is to provide private tuition at the highest level to students in the South Tipperary area. The field of education has been receiving unprecedented attention over the last few years from policy makers, parents and scholars alike. Parents and children worry about the quality of schooling and whether children are being adequately prepared to meet the challenges of an increasingly challenging world. Success in school and throughout life rests on a foundation of social and communicative competencies. Teachers and all educational professionals play a critical role in promoting the development of these core competencies and skills. Recognising the demand to provide students with additional, high-quality after-school support in the South Tipperary area and Industry with practical training and marketing workshops, Maryanne decided to set up the Clonmel Tuition Academy.
One of the aims of the CTA is to help second level students to develop their skills so they can understand and apply the basic fundamental concepts of the syllabus for the Junior and Leaving Certificate examinations. CTA business and marketing workshops are aimed at helping local small to medium size businesses and start-ups kick-start and/or promote their business. The Academy has a singular focus on education, committed to high quality and excellence in all areas of the Academy.
One of the primary objective at Clonmel Tuition Academy is to provide a comfortable environment in which its’ students will excel and achieve optimum grades. CTA prides itself in employing only the finest staff who are helpful, informative and supportive to all students. The goal is to be instrumental in assisting its’ students reach their maximum potential and in so doing become the ‘go-to’ academy for private tuition in the area.
The Academy sets itself high standards and expects the same from its’ students who will be expected and encouraged to work hard in conjunction with their tutor. There are a limited number of places in each class in order to guarantee maximum personal attention. Despite increased demand, the Academy will not compromise the quality of its’ tuition by increasing numbers.
Because the aim of CTA is to provide private tuition at the highest level, the Academy only offers classes and courses in subjects where they have a dedicated team of committed and experienced tutors to deliver results. The causes underlying ‘less-than satisfactory’ results can usually be simple, but difficult to diagnose in a large class room environment. CTA’s approach is simple, but structured. CTA only offers classes and courses in subjects where they have committed and experienced tutors to deliver results. To this end, CTA cherry-pick only the ‘cream of the crop’ in tutors, who will provide simple solutions to aid the students in their pursuit for academic excellence. At Clonmel Tuition Academy, our tutors are dedicated academic coaches, qualified and specialized in their own subject areas who impart their knowledge and experience to assist in students’ learning needs. Approachable, caring and committed to teaching, CTA tutors are experienced both in academia and industry, qualified and fully vetted.

Finally, our team has unrivalled experience, from raw ingredients (Liam’s family have farmed the land for generations) to distillation and maturation (Stuart has more than 35 years experience managing Scotland’s most successful distilleries).
Our own spirit, first distilled this year from home-grown barley (at a friendly Irish distillery), will have to be aged in wood for at least three years before it can be called “whiskey”. Luckily, after 200 years of watching our barley ripen for harvest each year, patience is something we have in abundance at Ballindoney farm.
Tipperary Boutique Distillery Limited was founded in March 2016 by Jennifer Nickerson, Stuart Nickerson and Liam Ahearn. As a group with complimentary skills in distilling, financial planning and farming, they possess unique expertise to deliver world class Irish whiskies.
Situated in Ireland's Golden Vale, Tipperary Boutique Distillery is based on the Ahearn family farm. Our unique location, combined with our Stuart’s whiskey expertise and passion, affords us the opportunity to create great whiskey from our own barley, grown on Ballindoney farm in County Tipperary.
While we wait for our own spirit to mature, we have searched Ireland for mature whiskies which reflect the quality of the spirit which we will shortly make in Tipperary. We have specifically selected these casks to bottle and release as our inaugural expressions: the award-winning Rising, Knockmealdowns and Watershed.

Horan Automation & Consulting was established by Gerry & Kathleen Horan to provide an Automation Consulting and Project management service with a difference.Based on Gerry’s 20 years hands on experience in designing and implementing robotic and automation projects, we provide unrivalled technical knowledge of automated production and packaging systems.
Is Automation Right for Your Business?
Our 5 key questions when designing an automated system are:
If demand increases then automation allows you to easily meet production deadlines. Automated lines can run overnight and at weekends to achieve optimum production. Machines can also be programmed to increase production where necessary.
Automated systems eliminate human error increasing the rates of precision and accuracy. This also reduces waste and the need for quality and precision testing increasing efficiency.
Automation reduces the costs of wages and allows the business to recoup automation costs over a relatively short timescale. Automation also reduces breakage and waste. Costs due to staff absenteeism will also be reduced.
Automated systems are run by computer programs which instruct the machinery to carry out specific tasks. These programs can be easily edited and manipulated to increase or decrease production, fill a different sized bottle, make a larger packaging box etc. This potentially wider range of operational tasks allows for greater flexibility in production.
Automation reduces or eliminates repetitive strain injuries for staff which promotes a safer working environment and reduces absenteeism. Automated machines reduce the need for human involvement in the production line which also reduces factory accidents. These lines are normally maintained by a trained engineer so that health and safety best practice is adhered to.
