Our Vision To be recognised by businesses and by the wider community as a champion of economic development and business promotion in the Tipperary region by: Providing a range of services and events that meets the needs of business and members Ensuring the opinion of The County Tipperary Chamber reaches the appropriate targeted audiences both locally and nationally when appropriate Creating and maintaining an effective operating structure to support the current and future needs of The County Tipperary Chamber Maintaining and growing membership Our History Clonmel Chamber was established in April 1925 by a group of local business people including John F. O’Gorman, the coach builder and William Magner. The latter has since gone on to achieve global name recognition as the name of a world famous cider manufactured in Clonmel. Over the years the Chamber has championed the cause of local business with public bodies and the general public. One of its most notable achievements was in the 1960’s when it undertook a project to attract a multinational business to Clonmel to create employment. At a meeting of the board of the Chamber on the evening of January 26th 1965, at the Ormonde Hotel, the President, Mr Brian P. Duffy, informed the attendees that Scheisser had agreed to open a factory in Clonmel. Minute books dating back to the early 1950’s were recently discovered during renovations and show that many of the same issues that affect businesses were prevalent at the time. These include parking and the need for a multi storey car park in the town centre. Clonmel Chamber of Commerce was incorporated as a limited company in November 1985 and in the ensuing years the board and members undertook to provide a permanent premises for the organisation and a full time executive. We are one of only a small number of Chambers in Ireland to own their own building in Sarsfield Street. We host an Annual County Business Awards , Manufacturing Excellence Events , EXPOs, Conferences, Founders Friday with Bank of Ireland and enterprise-led learning with County Tipperary Chamber Skillnet . Most of all we listen to our Members to adequately promote the business agenda in Clonmel and the County of Tipperary. Maureen McNamara dedicated a large part of her life to the Chamber on a voluntary level and it was fitting that she would become the first full time executive at the organisation. She has been succeeded since by William O’Donnell, Elaine McGowran, Frank O’Donoghue, and Brian Cleary. In 2014 Clonmel Chamber joined with Cahir Chamber and rebranded as County Tipperary Chamber. Clonmel Chamber CLG now trades as County Tipperary Chamber. County Tipperary Chamber has been created as a result of demands from the business community for one strong voice for the sector in Tipperary. We are the largest business group in the County and we are focused on creating opportunities for Member companies to grow their businesses. It is the first ‘Super Chamber’ in Ireland and serves 9 towns, 40 villages and all points in between. The County Tipperary Chamber has a staff of 5 professionals focused on member services, marketing, finance and training. The Chamber operates from Questum Acceleration Centre, Cahir Road, Clonmel, Co. Tipperary.

We want every cardholder and every business to enjoy a smooth and easy experience. While card declines are uncommon, they can happen and thankfully, the reasons are simple and quick to sort out. 1️⃣ The business has recently changed their card machine Sometimes a retailer updates or replaces their payment terminal without notifying us. When the new machine isn’t connected to the Love Tipperary system yet, the gift card may decline. How to fix it: A quick re‑onboarding is all that’s needed: ✔️ Takes just a couple of minutes ✔️ Can be done over the phone ✔️ Or via a self‑registration link (Scroll up) 2️⃣ The card balance is lower than the purchase amount If the total at the till is higher than the balance on your card, the transaction will automatically decline. Example: Till total: €100 Card balance: €50 In this case, the card will decline unless the business processes a split payment. How to fix it: The business just needs to complete a cash/card split sale: Pay via another payment method first. Put the €50 through on the Love Tipperary Gift Card. Easy, quick, and the sale goes through smoothly. 🌟 Top Tips for a Smooth Transaction A little preparation goes a long way! Here are simple ways to make sure your Love Tipperary Gift Card works perfectly at the till: ✔️ Know your balance Just scan the QR code on the back of your card to check your balance anytime. Quick, easy, and always accurate. ✔️ Check the list of participating shops Businesses come on board all the time, but some may change systems or temporarily step out. A quick look at our up‑to‑date directory ensures you know where your card is welcomed. ✔️ Ask and double-check If you’re unsure, simply ask the business if they accept the Love Tipperary Gift Card. 💬 We're Here to Help A card decline doesn’t mean anything is wrong, it’s usually one of the small issues above, and we’re always ready to help get things sorted quickly.
