Facilitating Community Well Being and Resilience
Community Climate Coaches are to roll out a Sustainable Mapping system pilot of County Tipperary.
In County Tipperary, a diverse range of community-driven initiatives, and sustainable businesses can be found. Making these resources more visible through identification, mapping, and connection is essential as we work toward a sustainable and resilient future together.
To fully harness the potential of these valuable resources, it is imperative that we have a community mapping system and publish a map that sheds light on the diverse range of community-led initiatives and sustainable enterprises within our county.
This initiative is a collaborative effort that seeks to identify, map, and spotlight those individuals and organisations that offer innovative pathways for community well-being and climate resilience in Tipperary.
What sets this pilot apart, is its innovative approach: collaborative action research rooted in the principles of co-creation. The Community Climate Coaches and County Tipperary Chamber will engage with local initiatives and businesses, working hand in hand to strengthen the sustainability infrastructure of County Tipperary. By doing so, we aim to cultivate a thriving ecosystem where climate action is not just an aspiration but a lived reality.

In September 2019, Chambers Ireland together with their nationwide Network of affiliated Chambers, unanimously pledged to support the Goals.
Since then, County Tipperary Chamber are working with the Network and the Sustainable Business Council to help to educate businesses about the SDGs.
Our aim in highlighting the SDGs is to realise the opportunities they create, provide companies with the confidence that meaningful results can be readily achieved and promote how they will positively impact businesses, communities, and livelihoods.
